When it comes to amazing food and drink, London is the place to be. There’s a whopping seventy Michelin-starred restaurants in the city, and there are thousands of pubs and bars to choose from too.
It’s no surprise, then, that hardly a week seems to go by without another food festival or drinks event springing up somewhere across the capital.
But as there are simply so many to choose from, it makes sense to do your research. In that spirit, here’s a sneak peek at what taste sensations and top tipples are on offer at events in London in the coming months.
Hawker House Street Feast, Friday and Saturday evenings
One of London’s premier street food events, Hawker House in Canada Water opened its doors again at the end of January – which means East London’s foodies have once again got oodles of culinary choice at their fingertips.
Whether you go for the buttermilk-drenched, twice-fried chicken at the Mother Clucker stand or the melt-in-the-mouth beef brisket at the Petare stall, you’ll be spoiled for choice. And with vegan and vegetarian options like yummy plantain and delicious crispy pizza, there really is something to make every mouth water.
The Hawker House market is the brainchild of the company Street Feast, which is also behind a wide range of other London street food outlets in Lewisham, Shoreditch and Canary Wharf – so no matter where you are, you’re only ever a train ride away from a delicious street food extravaganza.

Whether you’re searching for fruity notes in your cocktails or you prefer more sour, bitter choices, you’ll certainly find what you love here. Master mixologists and bartenders are already researching and planning their cocktails, and with a free welcome cocktail available with your ticket, it’s not to be missed.
And if you really want to make an evening of it, you can settle into a room at one of the event’s pop-up five star hotels!
London Coffee Festival, 12th – 15th April
If you don’t properly wake up in the mornings until you’ve had your cup of Joe, the London Coffee Festival is for you.
With the chance to sample over 250 weird and wonderful types of coffee and even try your hand as a barista by competing in the inaugural “Coffee Master” challenge, there’s plenty on offer.
Held at the Old Truman Brewery just off Brick Lane, this event is ideal for any cosmopolitan coffee-drinker who wants to learn, sample and enjoy.
