Privacy Policy

You give us:

• Identity & contact: name, email address, WhatsApp/phone number.
• Profile: alias, city/area and pincode (used internally for organising the community and meetups; never shown to other members), interests you want to learn, skills you can teach, and any other details you choose to add.
• Payment: processed by our payment partner (Razorpay). We do not store your full card/UPI credentials; we store transaction references and status.
• Communications: messages you send in circle chat, reports, and support requests.

We collect automatically:

• Device/usage data, and cookies necessary for login and functioning.

• To create and manage your account and subscription.
• To form circles and organise meetups.
• To process payments and issue GST invoices.
• To send service communications (welcome email, circle details, reminders, announcements).
• To keep the community safe (moderation, handling reports, enforcing the Code of Conduct).
• To improve the Platform and, in future, offer better-matched features. We will seek fresh consent where required before using your data for any materially new purpose.

• By default, other members see only your alias and any fields you explicitly mark public.
• Your real name, WhatsApp number, and bio are private unless you choose to reveal them — you control field-level visibility in your profile settings at any time. Your email, area, and pincode are never shown to other members.

We share personal data only with:

• Service providers (data processors) who help us operate — e.g. hosting/database (Supabase), payments (Razorpay), email (Resend) — bound to protect your data.
• Authorities, where required by law or to prevent harm.

We do not sell your personal data.

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, comply with legal/tax obligations (e.g. GST records), and resolve disputes. You may request deletion (see rights below); some data may be retained where the law requires.

You have the right to: access a summary of your data; correct or update it; withdraw consent; request erasure; nominate another person to exercise rights in case of death/incapacity; and grievance redressal. To exercise any right, contact us at hello@eventsheaven.com.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures (access controls, encryption in transit, row-level database security so members cannot read each other’s private data) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure; you share information at your own risk.

The Platform is for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
